Josh Azouz

Josh is a theatre director and a writer, and is currently on the Royal Court Writers Programme. Josh frequently directs and devises comedy sketches for charity MUJU (Muslim-Jewish Theatre Company), where he met Tara, and they have since designed and ran interfaith and intercultural workshops with both children in schools and adults. Josh’s directing credits include: On Dis Ting (Oval House) The Good Person of Sichuan (Mill at the Pier Theatre in Wigan) Sink or Shpin (Edinburgh Fringe & London) Gargantua (Library Theatre, Manchester) Harissa (Tricycle Theatre). Between 2011-2012, Josh was resident director at the Library Theatre in Manchester, assisting on new plays & site-specific work. Josh has an MFA from Birkbeck University and trained with Philippe Gaulier in Paris.
