Carys Banks

Carys Banks is in her second year of a PhD at Bath University, combining her academic interests of anthropology and learning disabilities. Carys’s doctoral research involves anthropological methods of ethnography to engage with people with disabilities on their own terms, in order to learn about what is meaningful in their lives. Carys is particularly interested in learning more about participatory research, through Meryna’s cross-disciplinary collaborative work, and how this impacts people’s lives outside the UK. Carys’s eye for detail and quest for perfection comes into her role as Secretary Trustee for Meryna.
